This past weekend my chapter held the second annual Race for Ronald, with the proceeds from the event going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This year the race was a costume race, so all the people who attended wore fun and exciting outfits! The day of the race was a beautiful and crisp fall morning, absolutely perfect for running!
The Ronald McDonald House Charities raises money to provide families with children in the hospital, a place to stay so that they can focus all their attention on their child. As an ADPi Ronald McDonald House has become near and dear to my heart, and I love being able to help such an amazing charity.
I decided to go to the race as a hippie, however it was FREEZING, so I had to modify it a bit. I wore these fun pants that I bought at a Flea Market this summer, and a flower headband, all to try and make my athletic clothing look more “hippie” like. Overall the day was really fun! We have about 400 people come and run the race and all the money we raised went to benefitting the Ronald McDonald House.
