As the Recruitment Director for my sorority, it is my job to make my chapter stand out during recruitment. While planning this fall’s recruitment, I took advantage of the biggest style trend for summer: nautical inspired fashion! I based the outfit choices off the color navy blue, because it’s such a flattering color on everyone! I loved incorporating all things nautical into our outfits and activities; even our name tags were nautical shapes!
On Meet and Greet Day, we wore navy blue shirts with anchor-printed letters with sailor red skirts by Vineyard Vines. We stayed cute and comfortable on these longs days of recruitment parties!
We maximized the fun on Philanthropy Day with our navy blue maxi dresses by Revelry Dresses. Each sister picked out her own teal statement necklace, which expressed our individuality and personal style.
House Tour was by far my favorite outfit! We wore white blouses from Old Navy and bright yellow skirts from the LOFT. Wedges were a must for walking up and down the stairs!
My chapter has always worn black dresses on Preference, and this year we wore these strapless a-line dresses from David’s Bridal. They were so flattering on each sister, and they even had pockets! Preference is always my favorite day of recruitment, because it reminds me of how much I love my sisters. I cried each and every time we performed our preference ceremony!
As the grand finale, our Bid Day theme was “Loved the rest, but ANCHORED with the best!” On Bid Day, AOII at East Carolina University welcomed 52 amazing new members to our sisterhood! They’re all amazing, and looked super cute in their teal anchor tanks!
