“It’s a smile. It’s a kiss. It’s a sip of wine. It’s summertime!” For you, that might mean a break from school and day trips to the beach. But for me, it means the start of concert season!
The past two summers I have been lucky enough to work as a Marketing Intern for Live Nation in my home city of Raleigh, N.C. I work in the office a few days a week, keeping all the radio promotions and advertising organized. But the real excitement for me is on show days!
During concerts, I escort photographers from different media outlets to the soundboard or pit and make sure they follow all tour guidelines. I also take photos for the Live Nation Carolinas Instagram account!
My favorite show this summer was Luke Bryan’s “Dirt Road Diaries” tour, with special guests Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line. I am a HUGE Luke Bryan fan. I mean, HUGE. This was my fifth time seeing him perform live, and I swear he just keeps getting better! I was in the pit for the beginning of the concert and had a seriously difficult time staying calm enough to take my photos.
The concert season is winding down now, and school is starting back up. I’m going to miss it here at Live Nation, but I can’t wait until next summer!
