I absolutely can’t believe that Halloween is next week! Where is the time going? Well, my time has been spent researching and finding inspiration for Halloween this year.
Everyone at Monmouth goes all out for Halloween, but this year is going to be the year that the creativity is going to be at its highest! After all the research, and all the pinning of Halloween inspiration, I have narrowed it down to a few costume ideas that are worth a try!
Okay, I know what you’re probably thinking…“a loofa, really?” This is one of the most creative costumes I have found, plus it’s super easy to make and easy on the budget! This is definitely an option for my Halloween festivities, and it’ll definitely turn some heads! If you’re a wee-bit curious to see how it’s made, here’s a quick little how-to.
I always get nervous with putting so much make-up on my face, I’m afraid I’ll break out the next day (yikes!). But this scarecrow costume and make-up is something I would try! Borrow a flannel shirt from one of your guy friends, get a straw hat, whip out your go-to liquid eye-liner, and some face paint from the Halloween store, and you’ll be all set!
You see it all the time, people just put on animal ears and say they’re a mouse or a cat. But this is a unique little spin-off of that idea. Beanie Babies used to be so popular when I was a kid growing up, and this is the perfect way to bring them back! It’s also the perfect opportunity to get creative with what animal you would want to be. Once you have your animal costume picked out, use a piece of card board and cut it into a heart and use white card-stock paper and make the “TY” symbol.
Hopefully some of these ideas will spark some inspiration of your own or inspire you to give them a try!
Have a spook-tastic time coming up with costumes!
