Peplum, florals, polka dots and studs at a formal event…
There is one event that CSU sorority women look forward to every year, an event that gives us a reason to dress up and wear our cutest new outfit, but more importantly, an event that we get to watch fraternity men dance and sing to win our hearts over and raise money for The Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County… Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Bachelor Auction!
It is tradition that sorority girls across campus swarm to get a seat at Sig Ep’s Bachelor Auction and this year was no exception. Giddy girls packed the ballroom in hopes to find a man of their liking that is worth bidding on later on in the night. The Panhellenic women of CSU definitely dressed to impress with hot trends spotted throughout the room.
Shown here are trends that are easily accessible for the spring. Pistachio is the hottest color of the season and adding a little peplum is a feminine way to amp up the trend. Large floral prints are also a key part of any girls wardrobe this season. This trend was done right with a flattering, dark background color with a brighter foreground pattern that pops. Lastly, polka dots are one of the cutest patterns to look for this spring. Polka dots can be done in formal wear but can also be brought into daytime wear on shirts, skirts or jeans. They are the perfect flirty additition to any outfit.
Studs can be feminine as well! Studs have been seen a lot this winter on black leather and black suede. However, here are they are on a light peach dress making them more girly. Anyone who feels like they have not been able to particpate in the stud trend because it gives off too edgy of a look… You no longer have an excuse because this spring, any girl can make it work into their wardrobe with light pastel colors!
Peplum, florals, polka dots and studs are things every sorority girl will want to add to their wardrobe in the upcoming months. Eventhough we all brought these trends out at a formal event, it is easy to bring these trends into more casual pieces of your wardrobe too. Keep your eyes out and stay confident! These trends are easy for every girl, every shape and size to pull off!
