In Colorado, recruitment occurs 2-3 weeks into the school year. For the sororities that go through formal recruitment, these 2-3 weeks are vital for each chapter to market themselves and get noticed around campus. At Colorado State, an involvement fair is put on during the first week of school where every sorority can set up a booth and talk to potential new members about their experiences in Greek Life. My chapter decided on one shirt to wear so that we look unified but we encouraged personal style so each woman could give their outfit an expressive twist.
Whether it was a trendy flower crown, a fedora, a textured skirt or a classic necklace, the Chi O’s at CSU stood out at the involvement fair with our unique looks. Wearing letters around campus is so important in the efforts of marketing a chapter before recruitment and the Chi O’s are going above and beyond in the efforts to market ourselves and Greek Life at Colorado State.
