New York Fashion Week: Color Report for Spring and Summer 2014

Last month I volunteered at Fashion Week in New York City. While volunteering I was able to see many of the shows at Lincoln Center. I made sure to keep my eyes, ears, and camera app on my iPhone open to make the most of the experience. One theme I kept seeing at different runway shows was the use of nature. While many shows featured the usual floral prints, two really stood out. Rachel Zoe used sheer fabric to incorporate earth tones into a flow-y, but fierce maxi dress. Many looks at this show were completed with a tousled braid.

Earth tones were also very prominent at Michael Kors. All of the looks were extremely clean-cut and polished looking. Many looks featured patterns in green or brown, and white paired with leather accessories.
