Smoking is a nasty habit, and the health hazards are just as nasty. Despite vast research and proven studies, college students continue to light up. The real question is why? We know the health risks, but do we know the beauty risks of smoking? Probably not. Health.com wrote a great article with 15 ways smoking ruins our looks. Not only does smoking cigarettes cause bags under the eyes, psoriasis (ouch!), yellow teeth, warts (Wicked Witch of West Campus) or premature aging and wrinkles.
Smoking also causes your hair to thin, which means starring in the latest Pantene commercial is out of the question. But you also lose your natural glow and who wants to spend more money on makeup than we already do? Hypothetically speaking, if every time you bummed a cigarette from the cute guy at the bar, you gained a black permanent splotch on your skin, would you continue your trek to become the 102nd Dalmatian? Hopefully not, unless you’re _Cruella de Vi_l. So ladies, here’s the long story short. Cigarettes are both unhealthy and unattractive and they cause you to become unhealthy and unattractive. And the next time that hunk at the bar offers you a puff, take a long, nice inhale of his Giorgio Armani cologne instead.
