It’s completely normal to miss things that are no longer in your life, whether it be a place, a person, etc. But you should understand that just because you miss it, that doesn’t mean that thing was good for your mindset or for you in the long run. Let go of things/people that hinder your happiness.
Yes, this is aline from Trap Queens. But, its also a pretty important thing to remember. You will NEVER please everyone. There will always be a group of people who don’t like your personality or your clothes or whatever. There are a million and one people out there who think I suck, but if I took that to heart, my life would be miserable. Realize that people who say negative things about others are just jealous or upset with themselves. It doesn’t have anything to do with you. Trust me.
Boyfriends, ugh. Girlfriends, ugh. Relationships, ugh. We all want a relationship because we want to gain happiness from another person, but that just isn’t real. And thats okay. Sometimes everything you need in a person, you can find in yourself.
Never change who you are for another person, there is just no point. You are who you are for a million reasons and there is nothing wrong with that. Don’t take away from who you are because it intimates or doesn’t suit someone else. Own who you are, confidence is everything.
I am a huge believer in karma. You will get out of the world what you put in. Show compassion and genuine interest in others. You will get the same back. And if you don’t, well at least you tried.
YES. The world would be such a great place if every woman understood we are in this together. Don’t try to out do the woman in your life, EMPOWER them to do their best and to shine. Be genuine, be empowering, be supportive. It will make a world of difference.
Be kind to yourself, your happiness is your responsibility and yours alone. Your mindset will play a huge part on how to see the world and how you see yourself. Tell yourself everyday that you are enough. Because you are more important than you think.
Don’t dumb down your pain. I used to tell myself “Brooke, people have it way worse, don’t be so upset.” But F*** that. Be upset!! your feelings are totally valid. Feel that shit. It matters.
Paris Hilton doesn’t always say the most intelligent stuff, but this one was right on the money. Like I said earlier, when people hate on you, it says more about their character than yours.
But really, if your appearance is all you have going for you, you might not make it far in life. Think about the energy you put out into the world, is it peaceful? Is it empowering? Is it uplifting? Everyones looks fade. When they do, make sure what you offer the world is still beautiful.
