This past November, Gamma Phi Beta at Florida State hosted our annual Fall philanthropy event, Crescent Classic. Crescent Classic is a kickball tournament participated in by sororities, fraternities, and other campus organizations which benefits Girls on the Run and Campfire USA.
Each sister of Gamma Phi participates in a different way whether it be as a coach, referee, photographer, or cheerleader.
Crescent Classic is such an awesome event for the ladies of Gamma Phi Beta because we not only get to hangout with our sisters all day, we get to meet people from different organizations on campus that have come out to support us and our event!
Crescent Classic features a winner in both the Fraternity and the Sorority division. This year Alpha Delta Pi won the sorority division, while Pi Kappa Phi took home the win for the Fraternities.
Crescent Classic is also the event in which Gamma Phi announces the winner of our sweetheart competition, or as we call it, Crescent Man. This year Sammy Green of Chi Phi will be representing the ladies of Gamma Phi as our Crescent Man!
The best part of Crescent Classic is that we are able to come together as a community to have fun while also raising money for causes that we hold close to our hearts. This year, we raised over $2000 for Girls on the Run and Campfire USA. Special shout out to our amazing philanthropy chair Bri for putting on such an awesome event! We look forward to seeing everyone again this April for our Spring event, Gphi Joe!
