Grandbig and Grandlittle pose for a tailgate memory.

With Spring coming full force in sunny Florida, it brings with it the sound of announcers, the smell of ballpark food, and of course more tailgate fashion.

It differs from fall football tailgating though. My best advice would be to put on a classier version of those Daisy Dukes, maybe some cowboy boots (if you own them but cute sandals work too), and a sleeveless button down.

Climbing up and down on those big trucks parked in the tailgating lawn outside the ball park would be a hassle in a dress or skirt, and anything more than a tank top would have you sweating, and we know how much we don’t want that. Curling your hair gives you a more southern sweet belle look, with natural looking makeup. We don’t want to be sweating off smoky eyes and red lipstick, ladies.

As far as accessories are concerned, minimize your jewelry. Don’t bring a purse or clutch; a cross-shoulder bag or a small, dainty backpack will do the trick without making it look like you’re trying TOO hard.

You’ll be sure to look like a homerun!
