3 DIY Halloween Costumes!

Halloween is a girl’s favorite holiday because you get to dress up and be whatever you want, but it can sometimes be stressful finding the perfect outfit. I never buy pre-made costumes because 1. they’re more expensive and 2. it is so much more fun to get creative and make it your own! This year I was a Thing, Victoria’s Secret Angel, and Alice from Alice in Wonderland and I will be showing you how to inexpensively create these looks!

1. Thing

3 DIY Halloween Costumes!

  • Red t-shirt
  • Scissors
  • Blue ribbon
  • White & black paint

This was the most simple and inexpensive costume to make! All you need is a red shirt and some scissors to cut it however you’d like. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube to follow. I decided to cut mine into a halter and wear it with black spandex so it was kind of like a halter dress! I got blue & white striped socks from Walmart to pull together the whole look. My whole sorority dressed as Things and it was so fun to all be something together! If you want to spice up this outfit, you can buy or make your own blue tutu :)

2. Victoria’s Secret Angel

3 DIY Halloween Costumes!

  • Robe
  • Bra/corset
  • Angel wings
  • Heels

This look is so simple and sexy to re-create. All you need is a silky robe in any color, a bra or corset, small angel wings, and heels and viola! You’re done! Make sure you make big, sexy curls in your hair and don’t forget the pink lipgloss.

3. Alice in Wonderland

3 DIY Halloween Costumes!

  • Bodysuit
  • Tutu
  • High Socks
  • Black bow headband
  • Heels
  • Black ribbon

This was my favorite costume of them all. My 3 best friends and I dressed as Alice, Queen of Hearts, and the Mad Hatter! We all wore different variations of the same pieces – bodysuit, tutu, socks, heels. The differences were in the head pieces and accessories based on the characters we dressed as!

Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween weekend and these costumes give you inspiration for next year!
