5 Trends That We Are Ready To Say Goodbye To

I’m back and of course my first article for the semester has to do with this seasons trends. Trends change as often as the seasons change (or as often as my outfits change before I go out at night), but here are the top 5 trends that are so last year.

1. Flower Crowns/Headbands

Every basic hippie chick grabbed a flower crown for their first festival. Unfortunately, that trend is way out. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love throwing a headband on for the gym or when my hair is in a messy bun, but the forehead look is ready to be forbidden. I’ve seen this style less and less since the beginning of the year and I’m thankful for that.

2. Chokers

I have a bitter sweet feeling about this trend. Everyone who read my blogs last year knows that I LOVED the chokers coming back in, but after this summer I can strongly say that this trend has been retired. I think everyone is ready to put their chokers back in the past with the rest of their 90s gear.

3. Fedoras

Not much to say about these hats besides the fact that I can’t even remember the last time I saw someone wear one besides Steve in season 2 of Shameless.

4. Flash Tattoos

I’m not going to say that the flash tattoos need to be permanently retired, BUT I do think the only time it’s acceptable to wear them is during recruitment or Halloween. Unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye to our temporary tats.

5. Skinny Jeans

Another trend that isn’t quite yet permanently retired, but I’ve seen a sudden decrease in girls wearing skinny jeans. I still love to put on a pair of skinny jeans to go out in with my heels or to tuck into my boots, but the boyfriend jeans and flares are taking over 2015.
