NPC Sorority Philanthropies: A Quick Guide

1. Pi Beta Phi

Pi Beta Phi has worked with numerous organizations to further their mission of literacy. Their current philanthropy is Read > Lead > Achieve. They also have partnered with First Book and The Library of Congress Center for the Book.

2. Kappa Alpha Theta

Kappa Alpha Theta works with three philanthropies. These organizations are Court Appointed Special Advocates, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, and The Friendship Fund.

3. Kappa Kappa Gamma

Kappa Kappa Gamma works with one philanthropy. This organization is Reading is Fundamental, which works to show children the joy of books.

4. Alpha Phi

Alpha Phi works with one philanthropy. This organization is the Alpha Phi Foundation, which assists sister’s with scholarships, promotes women’s heart health, and advances leadership development.

5. Delta Gamma

Delta Gamma works with many organizations to assist with their mission of protecting the Gift of Sight. Their current initiative is Service for Sight and Service for Sight: Joining Forces.

6. Gamma Phi Beta

Gamma Phi Beta has worked with many organizations for their philanthropic efforts to Build Strong Girls! They are currently working with Girls on the Run, [Camp Fire, and Girl Guides of Canada.

7. Alpha Chi Omega

Alpha Chi Omega has worked with many organizations to further their fight against domestic violence. They are currently partnered with Mary Kay as well as host Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.

8. Delta Delta Delta

Delta Delta Delta has worked for Children’s Cancer Charities since the 1970’s. They are currently working with St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

9. Alpha Xi Delta

Alpha Xi Delta works with one philanthropy. This organization is Autism Speaks, which is one of the largest autism advocacy and research organization in the world.

10. Chi Omega

Chi Omega works with one philanthropy. This organization is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants sick children with their wish!

11. Sigma Kappa

Sigma Kappa works with five philanthropies. These organizations are Sigma Kappa Foundation, Gerontology, Maine Sea Coast Mission, Alzheimer’s Disease, and participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

12. Alpha Omicron Pi

Alpha Omicron Pi works with one philanthropy to help support arthritis research. This organization is the American Juvenile Arthritis Organization.

13. Zeta Tau Alpha

Zeta Tau Alpha has worked with many organizations to promote their philanthropic endeavor of breast cancer awareness, education and research. They have been partnered with the Susan G Komen Foundation, but their contract ends in May of 2014. They have also worked with Yoplait and the NFL.

14. Alpha Gamma Delta

Alpha Gamma Delta has two philanthropies. These organizations are the American Diabetes Association and the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.

15. Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Phi has two philanthropies. These organizations are the [Ronald McDonald House.

16. [Delta Zeta

Delta Zeta works with many philanthropies that support hearing and speech. They also volunteer at the Painted Turtle Camp, based in California that hosts a camp for children with chronic illness.

17. Phi Mu

Phi Mu has one philanthropy. This organization is the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, works to improve the quality of life for sick children throughout the country.

18. Kappa Delta

Kappa Delta supports four philanthropies. These organizations are Prevent Child Abuse America, Girl Scouts of the USA, the Orthopaedic Research Awards, and Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia.

19. Sigma Sigma Sigma

Sigma Sigma Sigma has one philanthropy. This organization is the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation which offers leadership training and grants that support therapeutic play/child life programs in hospitals.

20. Alpha Sigma Tau

Alpha Sigma Tau has two philanthropies. These organizations are Pine Mountain Settlement School and Habitat for Humanity.

21. Alpha Sigma Alpha

Alpha Sigma Alpha has four philanthropies. These organizations are Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation, Girls on the Run International, S. June Smith Center, and the Special Olympics.

22. Alpha Epsilon Phi

Alpha Epsilon Phi has two philanthropies. These organizations are Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Sharsheret.

23. Theta Phi Alpha

Theta Phi Alpha has two philanthropies that focus on helping the less fortunate. These organizations are Glenmary Home Missioners and The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built.

24. Phi Sigma Sigma

Phi Sigma Sigma has one philanthropy, which is the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which promotes school and college readiness.

25. Delta Phi Epsilon

Delta Phi Epsilon has three philanthropies. These organizations are Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation, National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

26. Sigma Delta Tau

Sigma Delta Tau has three philanthropies with the goal of promoting women’s rights. These three organizations are [Prevent Child Abuse America, Jewish Women International, and Jewish Women International.
