As summer comes to an end and the first day of school and even more exciting, Welcome Week, is rapidly approaching, Indiana Pi Phi’s couldn’t bear to wait it out. With two weeks remaining in the summer, both the Junior and Sophomore pledge classes got together for one last summer weekend. The reunions took place in hundreds of miles from one another but neither were short of sunbathing, laughter and cute clothes.
An assortment of girls from the Sophomore pledge class set their destination in the Hamptons where they enjoyed plenty of beach and pool time as well as a nice dinner out with the girls. Their weekend was also completed with a beautiful summer day stroll in New York’s very own Central Park.
To stay comfortable in the New York summer heat, they paired high-waisted jean shorts with loose, airy shirts and sunglasses.
Another option was a flowy black romper–perfect for a day to night transition and comfortable enough to walk a few blocks while still looking effortlessly fabulous.
As far as their girls-night-out attire, there was a trend of flowy pattern shorts and strappy sandals.
Their newly sun-kissed skin from the day of tanning paired well with white blouses and accessories.
The junior girls didn’t have to travel quite as far from their Chicago and Indiana hometowns to their reunion destination. They spent the weekend at a sister’s lake house on Lake Michigan in Long Beach, Indiana.
This kind of late summer night on the lake’s shore called for flowery Brandy Melville dresses and cardigans.
There was also some additional frolicking in the waves that was made easy with these comfortable and practical summer dresses.
Their relaxing weekend was completed with a full day of tanning and beach bonfire after the sun had set. Accompanying the countless s’mores was good music, endless laughter and sharing their eager expectations for the approaching school year.
