Fall is in the air here in New Orleans! Well, maybe not quite yet (I’m still sweating walking between classes). Nevertheless, fall is coming, and the ladies of Pi Beta Phi celebrated with the annual Arrowspike Volleyball Tournament!
The sun was a shinin,’ the music groovin’, the spirits high, and the sweaty teams band together as brothers and sisters, fighting to the death for the coveted, golden, composite-wrapped ultimate prize: The Pi Beta Phi Arrowspike trophy.
All proceeds from the entered teams are contributed to our philanthropy, First Book, an international nonprofit organization that aims to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. Fun in the sun and helping others? Sounds like a win-win to me. And trust me, it was.
And now, we have the honor of presenting our boys with the win of a lifetime! They earned it, and all for a good cause.
