The Look For Less: Jack Rogers

You’re sitting on your Instagram account scrolling through the billions of photos of pedicured toes, sandy beaches, and colorful sandals all organized under the tag #LoveMyJacks and, let’s face it, you are jealous.

Jack Rogers are the quintessential summer sandal. Worn by famous icons like Jackie Kennedy herself, these sandals have become a staple in every sorority woman’s warm weather wardrobe. However, if you aren’t working a summer job these pricey pretties are probably a bit out of your price range. Lucky for you, I have figured out how to get that same Jack Rogers style for less.

  • Go off the beaten path. [Palms and can commonly be bought online. Yes, they don’t have the same craftsmanship, but for five months a year your sandals will be able to survive the wear and tear of your vacation lifestyle. These sandals run anywhere from $14-$27.
  • Go custom. Why buy a pair of Jacks that will look just like everyone else’s? Seems a bit silly to me.. For the VERY reasonable cost of roughly $45 you can have your very own faux Jacks custom painted in the Lilly Pulitzer pattern of your choice. That’s right-you could have “Cha Cha” patterned Jacks. It really is a dream come true. There are two vendors on Etsy that have great prices, so check them out [here.
  • Be sale savvy. If you’re willing to put in the time and unwillingly to wear anything other than authentic Jack Rogers, it is totally possible to snag some sandals for a good deal with some extra work online. Piperlime carriers Jack Rogers sandals and has had some great sales with prices around $88 for a pair. Neiman Marcus Last Call has also listed Jacks on their site ranging anywhere from $40-$99 for various patterns and colors. Buying a pair of sandals for $118 goes against pretty much everything I learned throughout my five years at college, but if this is one of those rare moments when you can treat yourself, do it. I LOVE my Jacks and I am so glad that I purchased a pair. I wear them all the time and they always complete my summer look. That being said, I love my faux Jacks (my boyfriend calls them Fogers) and actually think they are more comfy than my real Jacks so no matter what you choose you will get the same great style for the price that fits your budget! Happy shopping! xx
