5 Sisterhood Events You Should Do Before Fall Ends

Fall in North Carolina is one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced during my time at High Point University. The leaves turn colors, the wind gets crisper, and pumpkin spice lattes are readily available at the two Starbucks on campus. It’s a wonderful time to be alive, and an even better time to spend with your sisters.

Make the most out of Fall by bonding with your sorority sisters with these five sisterhood events:

1. Get pumped for Halloween

Halloween, every college student’s favorite holiday, is only a few days away! Get together with your sisters and hang out in your house baking cookies and having a Halloweentown movie marathon (minus the terrible fourth movie). If you are making your Halloween costume, bring everything you need to the house and have your sisters help you create the best costume.

2. Go on a hike

Getting away from the hustle and bustle of campus to go on a hike is a great way to de-stress from a hard midterms week. Pick the closest trail to your university and climb to the top. It’s great exercise, and the view will be spectacular, especially with all of the leaves changing colors.

3. Visit a corn maze, go to a pumpkin patch, or pick apples

All three of these are classic Fall activities. They are also perfect places to “throw what you know” and Instagram cute photographs. Another great idea is to have a pumpkin carving contest between you and your sisters.

4. Have a photo shoot

Many sororities on campus, including Tri Sigma, held Fall inspired photo shoots. It’s always nice to have professional looking photos, and they can help create a positive social media presence for recruitment season. You can also frame your favorite photos and give them as gifts to your sisters.

5. Be spooked at a haunted house

One of the best parts of Fall is that everything is Halloween themed. Embrace the holiday by scaring yourself at a haunted house or haunted corn maze. High Point University throws an annual Halloweenfest, and a haunted house is always involved. It’s fun and really gets you in the mood for upcoming Halloween activities around campus.

Whatever you decide to do this Fall, make sure to do it with your sisters and strengthen your unbreakable bond.
