Bid Day can easily be equated to Christmas day for sorority women and all of the new members coming home to each chapter. Bid Day at the Theta Chi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at George Mason University was nothing short of that. After a long weekend of recruitment, bid day was the icing on the cake to start this brand new year.
As we waited on campus for our new sisters to run to us, we chanted, we took pictures and we cheered for the excitement that was to come. In the distance we spotted girls coming our way and soon enough a swarm of new Panhellenic women ran to the lawn and into the arms of their new sisters.
Once everyone united, we walked to our bid day celebration and began the party the American way. Sporting USA Bid Day tanks and red, white and blue we congratulated our new members on being crowned as new Zetas.
As the evening went on, we used our crafted photo frames for fun pictures and laughed as we posed with our props to add to the American flair of the night.
Throughout the night, the new sisters learned how to throw what they know with the crown, danced all night and had fun American treats like red white and blue cupcakes. After a weekend of a lot of work and little sleep, bid day made everything absolutely worth it welcoming home a wonderful new pledge class.
